Tara Donne is a photographer and director with a clear, intuitive point of view rooted in observation and connection.
With an eye for lived-in, candid moments that are full of life, she creates work that feels as if it’s naturally unfolding, inviting the viewer in.
Across food, beverage, product, and lifestyle, Tara creates campaigns and libraries with a cohesive, human sensibility. She often works in hybrid productions and is known for her calm, confident leadership on set. She builds trust quickly, putting people at ease and allowing for moments that feel open and unforced. That feeling on set is shaped by a thoughtful and collaborative process from the start.
Her work is guided by close attention to gesture, timing, and the moments in between. Early training in drawing and painting from life, alongside street photography and years in editorial, sharpened her instinct for the subtle details that give her work presence and emotional truth.
Tara received a BFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University and later worked as a photo editor at domino, Real Simple, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She lives in the Hudson Valley and bases her work in New York City, working on location across the U.S. and internationally.
