Tara Donne is a New York City–based photographer & director specializing in food, beverage, and lifestyle.

Tara grew up in the country, in a family of fantastic cooks and bakers who value their time together at the table above all else. She finds inspiration in her daily life: frequenting farm stands, cooking with friends, and being immersed in nature. Since 2006, she has collaborated with ad agencies and brand creatives in creating energetic, relatable stories that feel lived-in and authentic. Whether in a studio, on a stage, or on location, Tara is equally comfortable, happy, and at ease. In fact, she loves the mix and moves seamlessly between a more controlled environment and the come-what-may challenges of shooting on location. Equally fluid are her abilities to craft light and to tell stories through varied media. Her eye for creating stills translates naturally into directing and making content that brings authentic warmth and energy to each moment.

After receiving a BFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University, Tara spent several years honing her editing and production skills as a photo editor at domino, Real Simple, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She has been awarded in PDN, Communication Arts and American Photography. Tara lives in New York’s Hudson Valley but finds herself working in LA and NYC more often than her dog would like!
